Jesse Metcalfe

Biography

Often seen playing the role of a dashing casanova, Jesse Metcalfe is best known for portraying John Rowland in hit comedy drama Desperate Housewives, and billionaire heir Christopher Ewing in Dallas. Studying at New York University’s Tish School of Arts, Metcalfe landed his debut role as Miguel Lopez-Rodriguez in NBC network drama Passions. In 2004 he was chosen to star in the first season of Desperate Housewives and enjoyed a 5-year run with the series. His talent and allure paved the way for greater opportunities, receiving the lead role in 20th Century Fox comedy John Tucker Must Die alongside Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow and R&B singer Ashanti.

After starring as the protagonist in horror movie Insanitarium, Metcalfe played alongside the celebrated Michael Douglas and Amber Tamblyn in the 2009 remake of Beyond a Reasonable Doubt. After his motion picture endeavours, Metcalfe returned to television, being cast in NBC crime drama Chase and was subsequently given the lead role of adopted son of oil tycoon Bobby Ewing in TNT’s 2012 revamp of romantic drama Dallas. Metcalfe has also starred alongside Sylvester Stallone, Dave Bautista and 50 cent in action crime movie Escape Plan II.

Not only a talented actor, Metcalfe has hosted the World Music awards in Monaco and also been asked to stand in for Paul O’Grady on his hugely popular TV talk show.
