Jos Buttler

Biography

Born Joseph Charles but referred to as Jos, Buttler is a Somerset born English professional cricketer. He is a right handed batsman and accomplished wicket keeper who has spent many years with England at the top level and so really knows what it takes to be a success in the competitive world of sport. He is also therefore a fine brand ambassador and great guest speaker, sports award dinner host or guest at a charity function. As well a playing for England on many different levels, Jos also plays domestically got Lancashire having previously played for Somerset and Melbourne Renegades.

A fine school cricketer, Jos played for England at Under 19 level, touring Bangladesh, and then playing in the Under 19 World Cup in New Zealand in 2010. He was first called up to the England one day side in 2010 and since then has become a firm and key fixture. he has now played 13 Tests and has scored 596 runs as well as taking 44 caches. He has also played 61 One Day Internationals and scored 1, 467 runs and taken 79 catches while in 71 First Class games he has scored more than 3000 runs and taken 154 catches. A tall, strong player who has an upright stance, Butler hits the ball hard and is an aggressive player. He has great foot movement and can really change a game with his aggressiveness. As such he is a great modern player and recognisable figure who really inspires young sports people and corporate audiences alike.
