Kevin Kilbane

Biography

Born and raised in England but of Irish heritage, Kevin Kilbane is a former professional footballer turned guest speaker, inspirational host and media personality. Kevin, throughout his long career, clocked up an impressive 110 caps for the Republic of Ireland national football team, which means he is third in the all time list behind Robbie Keane and Shay Given. Kevin played at both left back and as a left winger in his time, scored eight goals for his international team and a total of 37 throughout his 537 domestic appearances for teams including Everton, West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland, Wigan Athletic, Huddersfield Town and Derby County among others.
As his football career drew to a close, Kevin worked on building himself a career in the media and has worked as a pundit for RTE Sport, made regular appearances on Match of the Day, Football Focus, Radio 5 Live and also has a column in the Irish Daily Mail. Kevin has also obtained a degree in Professional Sports Writing and Broadcasting at Staffordshire University, features on the Guardian Football Weekly Extra Podcast and recently commentated on the World Cup in Brazil for the BBC.
