Tiggs Da Author

Biography

Over the past few years Tiggs Da Author has been slowly but surely instilling his soulful voice into the DNA of British music. The singer and producer has been tied into some of the most successful releases in recent years – he contributed to J Hus’ gold-selling debut album ‘Common Sense’, produced and featured on Stefflon Don’s ‘SECURE’ single ‘Pretty Girl’, contributed to two tracks on XL Recordings’ ‘New Gen’ compilation and made statement appearances on both of Nines’ game-changing studio albums – ‘Oh My’ from ‘Crop Circle’ is the second most streamed track on the album, organically garnering 9 million streams and counting.

As well as all of this, in 2017 he was the second most synched artist on Sony’s roster and was nominated for Music Week’s Sync Artist of the Year award, having placed tracks in campaigns for Apple, Google, FIFA, Sky Sports, Amazon, Virgin and Ford, as well as his track ‘Run’ featuring in Bridget Jones’ Baby – which earned him a silver disc.

After thriving last year entirely through collaborations, Tiggs is preparing to double down in 2019 with two full-length releases of his own. The first, a mixtape slated to drop in the Summer, will demonstrate his communal attitude to music making, showcasing a range of collaborations that he’s produced and written with some of his favourite artists across the past six months. The second will be his long-anticipated debut album, a timeless Afro-soul influenced record with global ambitions.
