Former Irish rugby union player Brian O’Driscoll is now embarking on a media career following a hugely successful playing career that has placed him firmly in the hearts of rugby fans. Playing in the outside centre position throughout his career, Brian played for Irish provincial team Leinster as well as Ireland, whom he captained from 2003 until 2012, and the British and Irish Lions on numerous tours.

In that time he scored 46 tries for Ireland, which also makes him the highest scoring player in Irish rugby history. Brian also holds the record for the most tries in the Six Nations with 26, has scored more tries in the Heineken Cup that any other Irishman with 30 and was picked out as the player of the Six Nations no less than three times in 2006, 2007 and 2009. For his surely unrivalled contribution to the game, Brian is a truly revered sportsman who has received an Honorary Doctorate from Dublin City University and is often cited as one of the greatest to ever play the game.
