Biography

Few people are ad experienced in the field of nutrition as Hala El-Shafie, a consultant in the field with more than 15 year’s clinical experience. Hala is a registered Dietician in both the NHS and private fields as well as corporate sector and is a graduate of University College Hospital London. Stepping out of the clinic, Hall has presented on Channel 4, namely How To Lose Weight Well, a popular hit series for the channel that led to her getting commissioned for a second series. As well as working on Channel 4, Hala El-Shafie has worked on the BBC for their Eat Well For Less programme and has much more in the pipeline.

Hala’s skill is understanding how emotional and psychological issues marry up with food, and as such she has created a successful holistic client-centered approach that has brought her an extensive and loyal following, including a number of high-profile and celebrity clients. Her refreshing take on food and nutrition saw her launch her own website, Nutrition Rocks, which is a great resource full of useful insider information and expert tips. With a real passion for what she does, Haha is keen to enthuse and entertain and excite people with her knowledge of food and is a writer in demand as a result. She has written for the likes of The Times and the Daily Mail, YOU Magazine and Grazia. As well as this she often appears on ITV’s This Morning and is resident nutritionist for the show. She is a member of the British Dietetic Association and is a great booking for any show, event or conference where a real food expert is required.
