Biography

Kelly Hu is a voice artist, actress, beauty queen and fashion model, hailing from the United States. Born in 1968, she became Miss Teen USA by the time she was just 17 and won the title of Miss Hawaii USA, when she was 25.
Aside from her achievements in the world of fashion, you may also recognise Kelly Hu from the US TV series, ‘Sunset Beach’, where she starred as Dr. Rae Chang. Other noteworthy performances include her portrayal of Michelle Chan in the police drama, ‘Nash Bridge’s, Pearl in CW’s ‘The Vampire Diaries’, Abigail Cho in Syfy’s ‘Warehouse 13’, Stacy Hirano in ‘Phineas and Ferb’, Oroku Karai/Hamato Miwa in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ and last but not least, China White in CW’s smash hit, ‘Arrow’. Arguably her biggest role yet, ‘Arrow’ has become something of a TV phenomenon. Accumulating over 4 million viewers for the first series alone, Kelly Hu’s fame skyrocketed off the back of this casting.
Not only does Kelly’s acting talent grace our TV screens, but it also extends to the cinema. She has had parts in countless blockbusters, including 2002’s The Scorpion King, starring Dwayne Johnson, Sorceress Cassandra, 2003’s Cradle 2 the Grave and X2, 2009’s The Tournament and 2012’s White Frog.
With a colourful career, achieving in every field she turns her hand to, Kelly Hu is one of America’s all-round great talents.
