Biography

Kevin Charles Millar is a former American professional baseball player. With a successful career in Major League Baseball (MLB) spanning over a decade and starting in 1998, Kevin managed to whip out 170 home runs in his career, racking up an impressive batting average of .274. Playing for legendary teams such as the Boston Red Sox, who have had numerous world title series under their belt, Millar is a force to be reckoned with. As such, he has managed to make a name for himself off the pitch as an analyst for Major League Baseball since 2009.

 

Helping the Boston Red Sox reclaim their glory by propelling them to a 2004 win of the World Title Series, Millar found success and acclaim as an integral part of the team that brought home the crown after an 86-year drought. The player is known for his outgoing personality, making him a great fit for his current role as an analyst on the MLB Network.
For exemplifying the spirit of the legendary outfielder Jackie Jensen, Kevin was awarded Most Valuable Player after the 2003 season while playing for the Red Sox. Adding to this host of awards, he also received the Charlie Hough Good Guy Award after the 2001 season while playing for the Florida Marlins. Even after announcing his retirement from professional baseball in 2010, Millar has been continuously drawn back to the game, ending up as a popular and entertaining analyst on the MLB Network.
