Kim Dickens

Biography

Kim Dickens is a American actress who may best be known for her roles in films such as Hollow Man, The Blind Side, and Gone Girl. She has also been in hit TV shows like Deadwood, House of Cards, and Fear the Walking Dead.

Dickens began her onscreen career in the 1995 comedy film Palookaville. Just two years later, Dickens already had her first leading role in the Kiefer Sutherland directed film Truth or Consequences, N.M. At the beginning of the new millennium Dickens appeared in Hollow Man for which she was nominated for a Blockbuster Entertainment award. In 2001 she was also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead for her role in Things Behind The Room. In 2009 Dickens appeared in the hit sports movie The Blind Side. She also appeared in 2011’s Footloose, 2016’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and 2014’s Gone Girl for which she was nominated for two awards.

Dickens has also had success in the world of television where she began in 1995 as well. Her breakout TV role came in 2004’s Deadwood for which she was nominated for a SAG award. She also appeared in the hugely popular series Lost, Friday Night Lights, Sons Of Anarchy, and House of Cards in recurring roles. In 2015, Dickens began a role on the show Fear the Walking Dead for which she was nominated for two Saturn Awards for Best Actress in Television.

In 2019 Dickens is in line to be in two different films. One entitled The Highwaymen alongside Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson, and the other is a film continuation of Deadwood for HBO.
