Magic Johnson

Biography

Magic Johnson is the legendary former NBA player who is now the CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises, the investment conglomerate with an estimated value of $1 billion.

Since his retirement from basketball 20 years ago, Magic Johnson has become a business powerhouse, determined to boost the fortunes of underserved urban communities in the USA.

Basketball is still close to Johnson’s heart, and he uses many of the same skill he used on the court to make winning business decisions, and in his role as the LA Lakers’ President of Basketball Operations. This isn’t Johnson’s only role in the world of sports. He also owns or co-owns the LA Dodgers, the LA Sparks, and the Los Angeles Football Club.

Outside of sports, Johnson has done business with Starbucks, Sony Pictures, and companies dealing with finance, entertainment, and food services.

Magic Johnson is a firm believer that success means helping others achieve success. He has invested millions of dollars in redeveloping and improving infrastructure in disadvantaged communities, and he is the lead investor in several minority-owned tech startups. His Magic Johnson Foundation charity has awarded grants worth more than $21 million to change the lives of over 500,000 individuals. True to his humble roots, Johnson is dedicated to working hard and helping others.
