Richard Dinan

Biography

Made in Chelsea has been a fixture of our reality TV viewing schedules since it burst onto our screens in a cacophony of ‘yah darling’ and ‘totes’ in May 2011. Richard Dinan has been a popular character on the scripted reality show, which follows the lives of privileged young Londoners, since series 3.
It’s far from the only string to this young man’s bow, however; he’s an entrepreneur who began his career aged just 16, when he launched a pre-paid debit card business. His business acumens soon shone through, and the Londoner was able to quit his day job working as an assistant gunsmith at Holland & Holland to focus on his enterprises.
Dinan’s appearances on Made In Chelsea have focused primarily on his business ventures rather than his personal life, unlike many of the show’s other stars. Since first dipping his toe into the business world he has gone on to launch his own wearable tech company (which now sponsors the Lotus F1 team) and a manufacturing business supplying parts to Airbus, among others.
His passion for science and technology has led Dinan to pursue an education in thermonuclear physics in recent years and his wide ranging interests and experience make him a fascinating speaker. His entrepreneurial streak would make him the perfect guest for an audience of young people involved in science, technology or business.
