Ronnie Irani

Biography

Former England cricket player Ronnie Irani played with teams like Essex and was also a captain owing to his great sense of leadership. Since retiring from the game, Roni has given over lots of his time to speaking at sports awards dinner, conferences and much more besides and is known for his great personality and sense of fun. Ronnie is known by many for an “Exercise Routine” he performed during an England One-Day International in Australia. Whilst he was stretching away, the Aussie fans behind him were mimicking his actions and when he discovered what they were doing, he played up to the tens of thousands of fans and became quicker as to make the fans carry on even more.
Ronnie played his whole career with Essex County Cricket Club and latter acted as captain. He also played for England, but only on three occasions, and found himself more at home playing One Day Internationals. A right arm, medium paced bowler and fine batsmen, Ronnie scored over 20,000 runs and took more than 650 wickets during his career. He has published a widely well received auto biography and was also part of a celebrity group with Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans who clubbed together to pay for Paul Gascoigne to receive treatment for alcoholism in the US.Anyone planning a conference, function, charity awards dinner or corporate event who needs a sporting star with real insight into his game to appear on their behalf should consider Ronnie Irani to be a fine choice.
