Simon Jordan is a highly successful entrepreneur and business spokesman whose expertise began in the mobile phone industry. At the turn of the millennium, Simon’s chain of Pocket Phone Shops was sold for a jaw-dropping seventy five million. At this time, he was just 32 years old.
In that same highly eventful year, Simon purchased the football club, Crystal Palace. This move placed him in the history books as the youngest owner ever, to own a League team. This decision was perhaps emotionally driven, as it was the same team that his father played for and one he had supported since he was a boy.
Simon’s purchase of Crystal Palace was the start of a prosperous decade in football. During his time with the club, he became an instantly recognisable character in the game and took Palace to the Premier League.
As if mobile phones and football were not enough to keep Simon busy, he also turned his hand to writing. His best-selling book, Be Careful What You Wish For was a huge success amongst his fans and reaffirmed himself as a talented and compelling author.
