Biography

Stuart “Stu” Bennett is an English actor and professional wrestler who triumphed in nine championships during his illustrious career. Wrestling under the personas of Stu Sanders, Bad News Barrett, Wade Barrett, and King Barrett, Bennett impressed fans with his strength, agility and showmanship in the ring.

After stepping away from the ring in 2016, Bennett has continued to play a significant role in the sport, taking on the role of commentator at World of Sport Wrestling. Fans often had a love-hate relationship with Bennett, as he often played a confrontational instigator during his time working with WWE. However, many were excited for his return not just to the industry, but his acting career, which he had kicked off in 2013 with his portrayal of Kilroy in the crime-drama Dead Man Down. He has since landed the leading roles of Bishop in Eliminators, Victor Stanczyk in Fanged Up, and John Gold in I Am Vengeance, which earned a nomination for Best Feature Film at the National Film Awards.

Aside from his work as an actor and wrestler, Bennett has hosted Netflix’s Ultimate Beastmaster, an obstacle course competition show produced by Sylvester Stallone. He’s also shot a pilot for Comedy Central USA called Alternatino. Fans are eagerly anticipating three upcoming film projects: Jacob the Awakening, Adrian Street Story: You May Be Pretty, But I Am Beautiful, and Vengeance 2, which will see the actor reprise the role of John Gold.
