Biography

Tamer Hosny is an Egyptian singer, songwriter, actor, director and composer nicknamed “King of the Stage” by his adoring fans thanks to his charismatic stage presence and magnetic personality. This phenomenal artist has released twelve albums over a career that has seen him go from aspiring artist to worldwide star and icon of the Middle Eastern and African music worlds, achieving crossover appeal through collaborations with Pitbull, Akon, Shaggy, Quincy Jones and Snoop Dogg.
Hosny’s career began in 2002, with appearances on popular mixtapes from other Egyptian artists. His debut album ‘Hob’ became a massive success and launched his unique music into the public consciousness. The many albums and singles that have followed have established this artist as one of the biggest names in Arabic pop music. Hosny has had considerable commercial success, giving his endorsement to brands such as Pepsi, Vodafone and Police Sunglasses. In 2017 he made history by becoming the first ever Egyptian/Arab artist to take part in a footprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.
Not only a talented musician and composer, Hosny is also a superstar in the movie world, starring in box-office successes and television dramas while stepping behind the camera to produce and direct films such as ‘Ahwak’ and ‘Tesbah ala kher’.
