Tim Horan

Former professional Australian rugby player Tim Horan had a fantastic career on the pitch that saw him pick up many personal and team accolades. After such a great career, Tim is a popular sporting figure who can work as a brand ambassador, charity event host or after dinner speaker in a range of environments. He will be best remembered for his time with the Australian national side, with whom he played no fewer than 80 times. In those many great performances, Tim scored a commendable 30 tries across an eleven year career that also took in two great Rugby World Cup victories in both 1991 and then again eight years later in 1999.
Tim was a great team player who had great on field partnerships with the likes of Jason Little and latterly Daniel Herbert, and was an all-round great who was one of the finest centres to have ever played the game. His debut for Australia came in 1989, and just two years later he scored four tries in the World Cup, which helped his side win the tournament for the first time ever. After fighting back against a knee injury, Tim came back as strong as ever and reached his peak in the 1999 World Cup, where he scored two tries including the fastest in the tournament after just 92 seconds in the opening game against Romania. He picked up Player of the Tournament for his efforts and also went on to captain his side, and to this day a much loved figure of the game.
