Tony Bellew

Biography

Liverpudlian Tony Bellew is a talented professional boxer and Hollywood actor who is very much at the top of world sport and is a true English star. The outspoken Everton fan is the former WBO International Cruiserweight champion and current EBU Cruiserweight Champion. In the past he has been a Commonwealth, British and WBC Silver Light heavyweight champion and had a fine career as an amateur that carried over into the paid ranks. His acting debut came in the high profile Creed movie, a part of the on-going and celebrated Rocky series, and it saw him play a lead role in the film that was released in November 2015.
Two of Bellew’s most famous bouts came against Welshman Nathan Cleverly. The first one he narrowly lost by majority decision at the light heavyweight limit, whilst the second he won at Cruiserweight, which is where he has remained since. Bellew-who fights out of the orthodox stance and is a mean puncher-has also fought for world honours against big name stars like Adonis Stevenson and has had two matches with Isaac Chilemba. One was a draw, and won was a victory for Bellew, and now he is well on his way to challenging for the world title at cruiserweight once more. A regular pundit on Sky Sports, Bellew is a devoted father and professional boxer with a big bad punch. He will fight anyone put in front of him and his record of 29 fights with 16 of them by knockout speaks for itself.
